Walter D. (Doug) White, A Professional was formed in 1991 and is focused exclusively on protecting the needs of the common man hardworking, local families, that is through estate planning and elder law. Mr. White provides various legal services to businesses and families in the North Louisiana area. He provides counsel and representation to new businesses and provides litigation services to businesses in Northwest Louisiana and surrounding areas.

A native of Shreveport, Doug has been practicing law since 1981, providing assistance to families, protect- ing families, and providing for their needs in the areas of Interdiction Services. His expertise extends to Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Succession matters. With over 40 years of experience practicing law, Mr. White has come to understand that you don’t need to be wealthy or own multiple houses to take advantage of estate planning with a lawyer. Instead, estate planning is for anyone who wants to protect their family’s financial and emotional needs.

A veteran of twenty-five years of military service, Doug retired from the Louisiana Army National Guard in 1999 and is familiar with veteran-related matters. He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and collection services for businesses. He practices in North Louisiana’s local, state, and federal courts, is engaged in various services in the Shreveport locale and serves as a Deacon in the Trinity Baptist Church in Shreveport. He is an attorney for the Alliance Defending Freedom and has served as Chairman of a Hearing Committee for the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board. He has sat as an Ad Hoc Judge in Shreveport City Court for the past 20 years. He and his wife have been married for forty-nine years and are the parents of four children.
