Creative Ways to Personalize Your Wedding

Weddings happen every day, but your wedding is special because it belongs to you and your favorite person. Create a memorable event by incorporating traditional aspects of weddings as well as any fun ideas that will make you and your partner-to-be happy. Please keep reading for inspiration and ideas that will delight you.

Create a Slideshow

Many couples enjoy adding a slideshow to their reception. Unfortunately, there are not always good places to highlight your photos if your wedding and reception are held outdoors or even in some indoor locations. And even if there is a TV or computer to play the slideshow on, the screen might be too small or in an inconvenient location, so your guests will not be able to enjoy the memories.

Fortunately, you can fix this potential problem by renting a video wall from a reputable AV video equipment rental company with experience in this area. A pro tip is to watch the slideshow before the big day and on the big screen. That way, you can resize some photos or eliminate others altogether if they show up too grainy in such a large resolution.

Interview Your Guests

A beautiful idea to incorporate into your wedding dinner and reception is to interview your guests and record the interview. Ask a mature teen or college student in your family or friend group to be the interviewer. Arm them with a fully charged video camera or their smartphone. Have plenty of long cords, extra plugs, and portable chargers available. Consider using an extra phone and uploading the content directly to your personal cloud.

Create a small nook with comfortable chairs facing one another and add a pitcher of water and multiple cups in case your guests are thirsty. Have your interviewer use a list of questions and ask anything else that may inspire them during the process. This is a lovely way to capture memories from people with long and storied histories you want to keep forever.

Go Retro

There is something so nostalgic about those old wind and click disposable Kodak cameras that used to show up at everyone’s wedding. Bring the old traditions back to life by placing one or two of these fun cameras on every table at the reception.

Add a placard with instructions on how to use them and what type of fun pictures they can take. Recommend selfies (they are different with this type of camera!), group shots, candid photos of the bride and groom’s parents and grandparents, and anything else that inspires them. Ask everyone to leave the cameras on the table at the end of the night. You will have a lot of fun and laughs once they are developed.

Incorporate meaningful touches and unique elements to personalize your wedding day and share your story with family and friends while taking moments to ask them about their personal stories. Make the day one filled with memories and wonder. You will be glad you did, especially as the years pass by.
