Sometimes you just need a little recharge.
This weekend I traveled somewhere new with my partner (we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with this trip). We decided to make the trek “up north” to our neighbor-state, Arkansas, and explore Blanchard Springs Caverns in the rural town of Fifty-Six. Yes, you heard right. The town is indeed called Fifty-Six. It’s a short distance from Mountain View and about an hour away from where we were staying in Fairfield Bay.
During our stay we were able to not only explore the caverns, but we visited the lake that feeds through it — Mirror Lake. We also took a detour to The Natural Bridge just a few miles north of Clinton. The entire formation is made of sandstone. On our way home, we explored our resort a little more and found Indian Rock Cave. Of course, we had to stop.
