Searching through venues can take a while, but it’s vital.

Theme

Of course, that in itself is something you will have to figure out early on too. Getting the theme right is the kind of thing that you will want to focus on if you are going to be able to approach your wedding with confidence. It should be a theme you are both happy with and which you feel represents you and the relationship in some way, but don’t worry about it too much – it doesn’t have to go overboard, and you can simply ensure that you are sticking to some simple theme if you like. It’s just a subtle way to bring everything together as best as you can.

Numbers

Finally, how many people are you going to invite? You’ll need to see the numbers you are able to have with your venue, and you might find that you have to consider some alterations here. Some people prefer a big wedding and some just want a few close friends to witness the event, so it’s entirely up to you and there are no rights or wrongs. Regardless, it’s something that you will need to think about before you do any more planning. The sooner you get the numbers down, the better.
