At a very young age Kennedy Carey- Prescott knew she was going to be performer.

In elementary school, she was in her first production with her Kindergarten class. She presented How Does Your Garden Grow. She was given the privilege to play the crabby cabbage, the queen of the crop. Having the ability to perform on stage easily became one of her most freeing experiences.

Kennedy’s Mom and Dad both have a passion for music.  “I first started singing at church in the choir, and it’s just carried on from there. I attribute all of my talents to being involved in church and my parents’ undying support and love” Kennedy says.

Kennedys favorite song is “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray. She says the  liveliness of the song and all of the people coming together invokes a great feeling of joy.

Kennedy will be attending Xavier University of Louisiana in the Fall of 2020,  and says she would love to continue singing in college because it is something that transports her mind when she needs it to, helping her cope with all the stress of being a teenager.
