Kelci Johnson wants to take the world over with her art.

The 18-year-old Airline High School senior has been involved with the arts since she started taking classes with the Bossier Arts Council in the first grade. After that it was visits to the Red River Revel that kept driving her passion.

“I remember falling in love with art through the Red River Revel,” she said. “They had a Halloween station, and Halloween is my favorite holiday, and we did art and I have the picture framed still with charcoal. It became my favorite medium to work with.”

Johnson plans to graduate and continue her education out west either attending school in Colorado or California. She said her goal, other than pursuing higher education, is to own her own coffee shop/art gallery. No matter where she lands, she plans on doing it feet first.

“Each place has its own story and that inspires me to continue my art,” she said.
