MUSIC Gladys Knight, 8 p.m., The Riverdome at Horseshoe Casino, Bossier City: Gladys Knight, known as the “Empress of Soul”, is an American singer–songwriter and actress. A seven-time Grammy Award-winner, Knight is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s and 1970s, for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels, with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips. Her hits include Midnight Train to Georgia, Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me, and Neither One Of Us. Don’t miss this chance to see her perform at Horseshoe Casino Bossier in the Riverdome.

MUSIC Preservation Hall Jazz Band, 8 p.m., Strand Theatre, Shreveport: No one represents New Orleans jazz better than Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
