Did you hear? The secret is out — SB Magazine is hosting Shreveport-Bossier City’s first ever SB Fashion Week from Sept. 26-29.  Last month, we announced the event during a rooftop party at the Remington Hotel Suite and Spa and gave a sneak peek at what’s to come with a mini runway show. We are eager to share this event with the community and hope you stay tuned for coming details on the fun-filled week.

For the third year, SB Magazine has produced a medical directory comprised of the hundreds of medical practices and independent physicians in the community, all categorized by specialty. Shreveport-Bossier City has much to be proud of but some of our greatest assets are our hospitals, clinics, private practices and the medical school at LSU Health Shreveport.

On this month’s cover is Dr. Sarah Scotto, an OBGYN at Highland Clinic. Not only is she a talented doctor, but she also is about to become a mom of twins later this month. Congratulations Dr. Scotto! We wish the best for you and your growing family.

In the fall, our Digital Media Manager Derick Jones partnered with Micah Harold, owner of Red Handed Tattoo Parlor, who sponsored a weekly, online series, SB Art Junior, at SBMag.net spotlighting a senior from each local high school — however, the focus wasn’t on the academic or sports’ achievements of these students. Instead, these young men and women are up-and-coming artists working in mediums from paint to music and even technology. The series has come to an end but in case you missed it, we present to you the SB Art Junior graduating (coming soon online!). For more information on how you can sponsor next year’s SB Art Junior, contact Derick at [email protected].

Assistant Editor Brittani LeBlanc visited with Dream Hunt Foundation founder Jeff Warren and volunteers Hannah Berry and Josh Loker to learn more about the organization’s’ work. Established in 2013, the non-profit’s mission is to make it possible for children with disabilities to go on hunting trips by using modified equipment. Learn more about this impressive organization and how you too can help make dreams come true.
