[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hey take care of our kids when they get sick. They meet the ambulances at the door of the emergency room. They put our broken bones back together and replace our hips and knees. They work long hours and grueling shifts, just to go home to their own families and take care of them as well. It’s no secret that the medical community in Shreveport-Bossier City has top-notch doctors. They keep us healthy and see to our medical needs while juggling their own lives. What many in Shreveport don’t know, however, is that some of Shreveport’s finest physicians have found that they are better together.

Drs. Atchison, Drs. Haynie and Drs. Lobrano are six doctors, three married couples, who decided that practicing medicine and marrying medical professionals was the best possible combination.

Each of the six actively practice medicine alongside their spouses and work toward the best possible patient outcomes as well as raising their own families here in Shreveport-Bossier City.

“We found that the best partner to have is one who really understands the commitment it takes to practice medicine. The person who best understands the long hours and demand of attention that working in medicine requires is the person who is going through it next to you,” said Dr. Chase Lobrano, an orthopedic specialist at Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana.

Together, each of these doctors navigated medical schools, residencies, fellowships and careers as well as the normal day-to-day challenges of marriage and raising families alongside their significant others. They’ve fought conflicting call schedules and battled long distances, all ultimately deciding that being part of the medical community in northwest Louisiana is the best option for their practices, marriages and families.
