Camps in June and July
Camps Cavs, Bossier Parish Community College’s summer camp program for kids will include art, theater/drama, jewelry making, app designing and video game designing, to name a few. Most camps are 3-4 hours and are scheduled Monday-Friday, unless otherwise noted. Ages vary from 8-18. All campers will receive t-shirts.
Registration for Camp Cavs is open and camps will take place at Bossier Parish Community College campus, unless otherwise noted. There may be additional supply fees associated with certain camps.

Camps in June, July and August
Parents want the best possible summer camp experience for their kids. Bricks 4 Kidz offers fun and educational LEGO themed summer camps for kids from Pre-K to middle school with themes like EV3 robotics, super heroes, Star Wars, Minecraft, dinosaurs, Young Builders and more. Small size camps with certified teachers makes the difference. New LEGO themes are offered each week and it’s a great place to make new friends.

Each summer over 6500 kids choose to spend a session or more at Camp Ozark, exploring over 400 acres of beautiful, forested terrain, participating in more than 150 activities, during their 14-day, 7-day and 21-day sessions. The Camp Ozark program also features Mish Mash. Mish Mash, the camper’s favorite time of the day, is when campers get to do any camp activity they want. Campers can ride horses, work on craft projects, ride the waterslides, jump on the Blob, practice their tennis skills, fish in the fishing pond, challenge our Ropes Course or shoot hoops with their friends.

Camps for kids ages 7-14
Code Ninjas is the fastest growing computer coding program for children in the country. Today’s generation of students are required to understand and apply the basics of coding, problem solving, mathematics, teamwork and robotics to be successful later in life. Students learn to code through engaging game-based curriculum. They gain vital skills while having a blast. Code Ninjas prides themselves in focusing on the simple philosophy that “kids have fun, parents see results.”

LSUS Continuing Education summer camps are coming! Every year, LSUS Continuing Education rolls out an impressive slate of summer camps geared towards local K-12 students, and this year is no exception. At these camps, students will have opportunities to take part in STEM-related learning in a safe, nurturing, educational and fun environment. Robotics and coding camps will teach students computer programing techniques, website development, video game design and creation, and app development in individual and project based settings. The Art Clinic will allow students to express themselves through drawing, acrylic paints, color pencils, watercolors and papier-mâché mask sculpting.
Campers can also learn about the engineering design process, product creation, the science involved in forensic chemistry and crime scene investigation. The Leadership and Gallup Strengths Finder camp will help students with character development, and the Super Sitters course will prepare them to be the best babysitters in town.

Make movies at Robinson Film Center’s Summer Film Camps. Four camps will be offered this summer including:
- Wizarding Camp (June 3-7): Love Harry Potter? Create a wizarding film and cast a spell of movie magic. Takes place daily from 1-5 p.m. at Robinson Film Center and is open to those who have completed grades 3-12.
- Action Movie (June 10-14): Students will learn techniques used by stunt performers in the film industry and will safely incorporate them into a short action film. Takes place daily from 1-5 p.m. at Robinson Film Center and is open to those who have completed grades 6-12.
- Superhero Camp (June 17-21): Whether you love Marvel or DC, the heroes or the villains, if you love superhero movies this camp is for you. Takes place daily from 1-5 p.m. at Bossier Arts Council and is open to those who have completed grades 3-8.
- Music Video Camp (July 8-12): Learn to direct and perform for music videos. Takes place daily from 1-5 p.m. at Robinson Film Center and is open to those who have completed grades 3-8.

What do you get when you merge science exploration and hands-on fun? CAMP AQUA!
Dive deep into the wonders of the ocean. Experience up close animal encounters and behind the scenes fun. Help the Shreveport Aquarium biologists care for the aquarium animals and learn all about their amazing abilities. Join them in June or July for a week packed with action, including fieldtrips, art projects, science experiments and more. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ages 6 – 12. Fee is $225 per week.

Like many Y programs, day camp is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. Kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities.
