From Alicia’s perspective:

“It was truly perfect to have a backyard wedding and reception with the casualness of yard games, fried chicken, fresh buttermilk biscuits, locally-sourced honey and a personalized, fresh brewed sweet tea. Josh is a local Bossier boy and currently the operational manager for The Food Shack. I’m a small-town girl from Hemphill, Texas and placement specialist for Jean Simpson Personnel. 

“The story of how we met is not overly eventful; he was, at the time, the owner of Tom & Chee and I have a deep-seated love of cheese (see bride’s cake made of cheese). I saw him on a dating site and made my approach confessing my love of all things cheese to which he followed with a long line of cheesy lines and jokes; to be fair they haven’t stopped.”

Alicia Barcheers Woodard is the daughter of Bill Barcheers and wife, Patricia, of Hemphill, Texas and Vickie Strickland and husband, Alan, of Shreveport. Joshua David Woodard is the son of Joe and Brenda Woodward, of Bossier City, by way of Baldknof, AR.

Alicia and Josh were married on April 28, 2018 at the Woodard Estates in North Bossier City. The two live in Bossier City with their pups — Ally Gator (a dachshund), and Penny (a Chihuahua).
