What is a cataract?

A cataract is the natural aging of the lens in your eye. As the lens ages, it gets thicker and more difficult to see through. The only correction for this is to have cataract surgery.  Once the cataract is removed, we offer several choices for the new lens implant. These include multifocal lens, astigmatism correcting lens and distance-only lens. We can help you determine what is the best option for you.

What do I do about my drooping eyelids?

Is LASIK surgery right for me?

If you are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism, then LASIK surgery may be able to help reduce or eliminate your need for corrective lenses. To determine if you are a candidate, we look at several factors, which include age, corneal thickness, corrective prescription, and overall eye health. LASIK does not correct for problems with reading due to age.

What can be done if I have damaged my cornea?

The cornea is the clear part of the eye that is covering the iris. It can become damaged due to injury, infection or an inherited condition. Once the cornea becomes damaged, it can interfere with clear vision. This can be improved using corneal transplants. We have two board certified specialists to assist you in recovering your vision due to corneal problems.
