It took owner Debbie Keckler six years before she finally opened On Cloud Wine. That was May 2009.

That first year, Debbie had four wines available to buy. Now, there are 14 to 15 wines on the menu.

Debbie has given her wines clever names, like Bon Temps (a symphony grape wine), Crosslake Cabbie (an Australian cabernet), Red River Ripple (tempranillo with sweet vanilla aromas), Creole Beach Party (pinot gris with coconut), and Cane River Gator Aid (green apple riesling).

After the juice arrives at On Cloud Wine, it goes straight to the fermentation room where it ages from two-to-three years.

On Cloud Wine has more than 8,000 bottles of wine ready for sale.

Debbie said there is a high demand for sweet wines more than dry wines right now, although she believes there is no right or wrong when it comes to what type of wine you like.
