Guess Who: Model & Fashionista
A Shreveport native, this month’s Guess Who has traveled far and wide throughout her career. She’s originally from here but she was raised just outside of Seattle, Wa. She moved back to Louisiana for a brief time and attended Plain Dealing Academy. She went on to study mass communications at LSUS where she earned the title of Miss LSUS.
Lights, Camera, Action
She began modeling at age 16 which resulted in several local appearances. She got herself an agent from Boston and high-tailed it to New York to pursue her career in modeling and acting. She was a fit (or fitting) model for various up and coming design houses and did both print and runway work. She was a stunt double and did stand-in work for the very last film produced in the Boston Gardens, Celtic Pride, and was also featured in the New Orleans TV show called The Big Easy for the two seasons that it aired.
Our Guess Who and her husband decided they wanted to settle down and have a family of their own so she moved back home to Shreveport and did just that. She began taking on large roles in the community by becoming involved in Junior League, Providence House, Shreveport Little Theatre and volunteering for her children’s school activities.
The Family Ranch
During her time in Shreveport, she found herself doing all her shopping in bigger cities when she traveled. She felt there was something missing locally and decided to bring big city shopping to the area and took over a boutique in town. She gradually transformed the boutique into what she always dreamed of and continues to strive for the very best at affordable prices to give her customers the quality and comfort she feels had been missing.
“Achieve your own happiness by making other people feel their best. Everyone has something physically beautiful about them, and it’s my goal to bring that out in my customers.”
