Give For Good: 10 Years of Film at Robinson
Happy birthday, Robinson Film Center!
May 3 marks the official 10-year anniversary of Robinson Film Center, a staple to downtown Shreveport. The center is not just for showing movies but operates as a non-profit arts organization aimed to educate, enrich and entertain through all forms of film. The RFC provides film history, media literacy, and outreach programs, plus you can also grab a bite (or drink) at Abby Singer’s Bistro.
Today, in partnership with The Community Foundation of North Louisiana’s Give for Good online campaign, the RFC is celebrating their monumental achievement of being open for 10 years. Here’s how you can celebrate, too:
- All Day: Support the future of RFC by giving a birthday gift any time during the day at giveforgoodnla.org/RFC. Donations are open until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, May 1.
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Be the first to check out the new menu at Abby Singer’s Bistro, enjoy $10 lunch specials and the new 10-Topping Burger of the Month.
- 6-8 p.m.: Join in the fun at RFC’s 10th Birthday Party with live music, free food, Birthday Cake martinis, and prizes.
Over the years, the film center has shown a variety of movies for children and adults, but which movies were at the top of the box office? Here are RFC’s top 10 best-selling movies:
