SB Magazine knows fashion. For 18 years, SB Magazine has been the area’s go-to source for fashion, publishing seasonal fashion editorial spreads. Now, we’re taking it a step further. SB Magazine will present the event of the year by putting on the community’s first ever SB Fashion Week from Sept. 26-29.

The week’s events will consist of pop-ups with local boutiques, tearoom style shows, a “Project Runway” style competition show, and a main show featuring boutiques and designers from across northwest Louisiana. There will be a vendor area during the daytime prior to the main event, which is the men’s and women’s runway shows Saturday night. Tickets to the main event will be available in July.

We invite you to be a part of the experience.

Are you a fashion designer from northwest Louisiana? Think you have what it takes to create a glamorous look for the runway? SB Magazine is giving 10 designers the chance of a lifetime during Project Broadway, a one-night only competition-style show taking place at artspace in downtown Shreveport on Thursday, Sept. 27.

The premise of this design competition is to create a one-of-a-kind evening wear look to be worn at Shreveport Regional Art Council’s bi-annual Christmas in the Sky 2018. This year’s theme is Broadway and will include everything from Kinky Bootsto Wicked, Hairspray, Cabaretand more.

Designers are asked to submit a body of work (3 detailed images of designs you’ve created), a designer bio including any pertinent information about your background, skills, etc., and a current head shot to fashion@sbmag.net. Designers will be chosen July 2 and will have a total of two months to create one look. The winner will receive a prize package including a spread in SB Magazine.
