From The Editor: SB Magazine January 2017
From The Publisher & Editor
Thank You For Your Support
As we begin a new year, now is the perfect time to look to the future while also reflecting on the past. It’s important to recognize and appreciate the people and businesses that make this publication possible and, to start, we want to thank you — our readers. With each issue, our main goal is to provide lifestyle content and informative articles that hopefully help enrich your daily lives, as well as giving you insight into the people and places that encompass the Shreveport-Bossier City community.
Another goal of SB Magazine is to be the platform for which our local small businesses can reach customers, both old and new, and we want to thank our advertisers for choosing us to be that source. Our focus has always been on the local mom-and-pop shops, which we believe are at the core and foundation of Shreveport-Bossier City. We look forward to highlighting these incredible businesses in the coming year and thank you for your partnership.
While you flip through the magazine, you may notice our look has changed — and we couldn’t be more excited about the new design of the publication. Our Creative Director Heather Kreamer worked long hours using her creative talents to improve the overall appearance of the magazine. We welcome any feedback you may have about the new changes.
In addition to the design, we’ve added a few new columns we think you’ll enjoy reading over the course of 2017: Mind Your P’s & Q’s and Wear & Where. Etiquette expert Erica Thomas shares her knowledge to help you navigate life’s different scenarios with manners that would make your grandmother proud. Erica knows the word “etiquette” can be a little intimidating but with her humor and fresh take on proper decorum, we’re sure you’ll be laughing while brushing up on your p’s and q’s.
Wear & Where is a fashion-focused column headed up by our Assistant Editor Brittani LeBlanc. Each month, she’ll show you how to dress for everything from a bachelorette party (as in this issue) to a day on the beach. She will keep you looking stylish all year-round.
Again, thank you readers and advertisers, for your continued support. You make it possible for us to do what we love every month. Happy New Year!
