Drink the Harvest: A Cocktail Competition

Slow Food North Louisiana combined cocktails and local produce for “Drink the Harvest: A Cocktail Competition” event last weekend.

Drink the Harvest took place at Sainte Terre event venue in Benton and set the mood with live music performed by the Slydell Slippery Slope band.

The four cocktail crafters participating in the Drink the Harvest event were requested by Slow Food North LA to create a cocktail that features in-season ingredients from the region, the more local the better.

The Slow Food-Minded Cocktails were paired with a tasting menu designed by Sainte Terre Chef Holly Moore Schreiber.

Those attending voted for their top choice after sampling  Aulden Morgan’s Peach Dandy, Albert Eiffes’ Shrossierac,  Brandon Fail’s Morning Dew , and Angie Stills’ Shuqualak Satsuma Slinger.

Aulden Morgan took home the winning vote with his Peach Dandy made from Ruston peaches. Cheers, Aulden!
