The 4th Annual Brookshire’s Louisiana Steak Cook-Off, sanctioned by the SCA, Steak Cook-Off Association, LLC, was a huge hit this past Independence Day. Sponsored by Brookshire’s, Super One Foods, and Down Home Sausage, the competition sizzled as grilling teams competed for some serious bragging rights and a grand prize of $2,000. Delicious samples were given out to the public before the judging took place. Charles Edwards of team “High Steaks” won First Place in the Brookshire’s Louisiana Steak Cook-Off.
